Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Studio Above&Below ("we", "us", "our") is an art and technology studio based in London, UK. This policy explains what information studioaboveandbelow.com collects when you visit, and how it's used. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@studioaboveandbelow.com.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how visitors use this site — page views, the referring site, approximate location (derived from your IP address, which is not stored) and device type. It is cookieless and collects no personal data. It only runs after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, it never loads.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not set tracking cookies. Your choice on the cookie banner (accepted or declined) is remembered using your browser's local storage, not a cookie, so you aren't asked again on future visits. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for studioaboveandbelow.com.

Contact form

If you use the message form on our Contact page, the name, email address and message you provide are sent by email to our inbox so we can reply. We do not store form submissions in a database, and we don't use the information for anything other than responding to you.

Embedded third-party content

Some pages embed video from Vimeo, or link out to our Instagram and Substack. Playing an embedded video, or following a link to Instagram or Substack, means you're interacting directly with that service, which may set its own cookies or collect information under its own privacy policy — Vimeo, Instagram (Meta) and Substack are not controlled by us. The posts shown in the "Recent Posts" sections of this site are fetched from our own public Instagram and Substack accounts for display purposes only; viewing them doesn't send any of your information to Instagram or Substack.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Vercel. As with any website, Vercel's infrastructure processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages to you; see Vercel's privacy policy for details.

Your rights

If you're in the UK or EEA, UK GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (for example, from a contact form submission), and to object to how it's used. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@studioaboveandbelow.com. You can also complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it was last revised.
